LAS VEGAS - Hot on the heels of the Citizen Outreach / KXNT Mayoral Candidate’s Forum, a new 8NewsNOW / Review-Journal poll of voters is showing Carolyn Goodman in the lead in the Las Vegas mayoral race.
The poll was conducted by telephone late last week, so it will be interesting to note how this weekends events will alter the standings in subsequent polls.
Of the 600 people polled, 36.5 percent said they would vote for Goodman if the race were held today. Another 17.5 percent said they would vote for Clark County Commissioner Larry Brown and 11.7 percent favored Clark County Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani. Nearly 20 percent said they had no opinion, no answer or didn’t know who would get their vote.
The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points and was conducted by Magellan Research in Las Vegas.
