Arrests Made In School Computer Hackings
Thirteen people have been arrested in connection with a school computer hacking. The Nye County Sheriff’s Office says 19-year-old Tyler Coyner allegedly gained access to the county’s school district computers, then had students pay him to change their grades. Authorities believe Coyner changed grades for at least 12 students over two semesters, and changed his own grades. Coyner and two other 19-year-olds were arrested, along with ten juveniles. The three 19-year-olds are also accused of stealing a big-screen TV from a Pahrump Walmart store. All face charges of altering computer data, conspiracy, burglary and grand larceny.
