McCarran Passenger Traffic Up 5%
According to the latest statistics released by the Clark County Department of Aviation, the number of passengers moving through McCarran International Airport has increased five percent over the last year.
Over 3.1 million travelers passed through McCarran in January 2011, compared to just over 3 million in January 2010.
American Airlines, Southwest and Delta all saw increase over figures from the same time a year ago. United Airlines showed a slight decrease, while US Airways declined the most of the top five, at a nearly 13% decline.
Also interesting to note, McCarran’s largest carrier, Southwest, served more passengers than the next four biggest Las Vegas carriers combined.
