Gang Members Arrested
Two alleged Las Vegas street gang members have been indicted as part of a federal sweep. The Justice Department says the two alleged members of the “Sureno 13” and “San Chucos” gangs were among 41 gang members in five U.S cities accused of various crimes, including racketeering, murder, conspiracy, drug and gun trafficking and robbery.
The Las Vegas suspects have been charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and distribution of meth.
Federal Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer says the indictments and arrests send the message that the Justice Department is, “committed to dismantling gangs both large and small, and from coast to coast.”
