The world will always know him as “Iron” Mike Tyson. The man who took the boxing world by storm in the 1980s as the youngest heavyweight champion in history with a string of dominating knockouts. Later, he became known as much for his out-of-the-ring behavior, including his marriage to acress Robin Givens, his conviction and prison sentence on rape charges, and his uneven comeback in the 1990s that included the suspension of his Nevada boxing license for biting the ear of Evander Holyfield.

But now retired for more than five years, the former “Baddest Man on the Planet” is a kinder, gentler creature. Married again and the father of two young children, Tyson still makes his home in the Las Vegas Valley, but these days he’s more about taking care of his kids than anything else.

As he greeted fans at Memorabilia International store inside the Miracle Mile Shops on the Las Vegas Strip, a mellow and still in-shape Tyson spoke to KXNT’s Corey Olson about his life now, the state of boxing vs. MMA, and rumors about “The Hangover 2.”
