Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman could be succeeded in office by his wife. Carolyn Goodman, the founder and president of The Meadows school in Summerlin, was accompanied by her husband as she signed the paperwork and paid the one-hundred dollar fee at the city clerk’s office Wednesday. Carolyn Goodman says she wants to continue her husband’s agenda, including the redevelopment of downtown Las Vegas, and bringing more culture, medical facilities and professional sports to Sin City. Oscar Goodman is barred by term limits from seeking another four years in office. Meanwhile, another high-profile candidate is expected to run for mayor. Clark County Commission Chris Giunchigliani is expected to file the necessary paperwork later today. Also running for the city’s top job are fellow county Commissioner Larry Brown and City Councilman Steve Ross. Friday is the last day to file for the municipal elections in Las Vegas.
