A group of local residents with ties to Egypt held a rally outside the Lloyd George Federal Courthouse in support of changes to the Egyptian government. The “Review-Journal” says about a hundred people chanted and held signs opposing longtime President Hosni Mubarak’s 30-year reign, which has led to violent clashes in his country. Similar rallies were held in several other U.S. cities. Today is the seventh day of protests in Egypt, with many calling for Mubarak to step down. The Obama administration has urged an “orderly transition” to a democratic system of government. Thousands of Americans are being flown out of Egypt due to the protests.
