Meg Whitman On The HP Board Of Directors
Former California GOP gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman is getting back to business.
Whitman was named to the board of directors for Hewlett-Packard on Thursday as part of a company shake-up that included the forced resignation of HP’s top executives. Whitman, who has been mostly silent since the November election, told the “San Francisco Chronicle” that she wants to continue to work in public policy and politics. The former eBay CEO lost the gubernatorial election to Democrat Jerry Brown by 13 percentage points after spending nearly 144-million dollars of her own money on her campaign.
