AT&T is ranked dead last in “Consumer Reports’” latest survey of cell phone service.
AT&T received a “worse” rating in nearly all categories on which carriers were judged, including value, voice and data. It got a slightly better but still lousy score in only one category, texting. Verizon scored highest in most of the cities surveyed, and placed second overall among the major carriers in the national results. U.S. Cellular topped the national list, with Sprint and T-Mobile placing third and fourth. The rankings are based on a nationwide survey of 58-thousand magazine readers.
