Both runners and spectators will be rocking and rolling this Sunday at the Las Vegas Marathon.
Close to 30-thousand runners from all 50 states and 39 foreign countries will run nearly 13 miles along the Vegas Strip and downtown area, with the start and finish line at the Mandalay Bay resort. That’s where rocker Bret Michaels will perform a free concert after the marathon. Those who want to get hitched while running can do so at a run-through wedding chapel at the Venetian hotel. The marathon will close the Strip to traffic, meaning cabs and visitors will have to use either I-15 or Paradise Road to reach most of the resorts. The Las Vegas Marathon is expected to bring about 50-million non-gaming dollars to the local economy.
