What could be considered a collector’s item for any computer geek has sold at auction for 213-thousand-600 dollars.
“PC World” magazine reports Christie’s auction house in London has sold an Apple-1 computer, with original packaging and manuals. There was also a letter to the computer’s original owner from Apple co-founder and CEO Steve Jobs. He and Steve Wozniak distributed the early computer from Jobs’ garage in 1976. Some 200 Apple-1 computers are estimated to have been created and originally sold for 666-dollars-66-cents before the company was founded in 1977. Only about 50 are still known to exist.
