Beatles Bring In Profits For Apple
For Apple and Apple Corps, it appears it was all worth the wait.
Apple — the high-tech company — says people bought more than 450,000 copies of Beatles albums during the first week of sales of Fab Four music. Add to the mix, two million individual songs — and it appears the catalog is off to a rousing start. Apple says the best-selling Beatles album in the U.S. is “Abbey Road,” and the best-selling individual track is “Here Comes the Sun.” The Beatles Box Set is number 10 on Apple’s weekly iTunes top-10 list. That’s a feat, considering it cost $149 a pop. Beatles’ music went on sale on iTunes on November 16.
