Parents Upset Over Internet-Television Content

tv kids 385 Parents Upset Over Internet Television Content

A parents’ watchdog group says online video sites don’t do enough to protect young people from seeing explicit material.

The complaint comes from the Parents Television Council which says it has looked at the offerings found on Hulu, Fancast, Slashcontrol and U-Verse. And it says none got higher than a “D” when it comes to keeping explicit clips from the eyes of youngsters. The council says standards online are more lenient online than those on broadcast television. And they say material that may be unsuitable for children under 14 could be seen by young children.
