After each turned in a dominating performance over the weekend, the top four teams held firm in college football’s BCS standings. Oregon (9-0) retains the top spot, coming off of a 53-16 victory over Washington on Saturday. The Ducks are also number one in the AP and USA Today coaches polls. Auburn (10-0) is still number two, after a 62-24 thrashing of Chattanooga. TCU (10-0) stayed at third in the BCS following the stunning 47-7 victory at previously unbeaten Utah on Saturday. The impressive victory also vaulted the Horned Frogs past Boise State and into third place in the AP and USA Today polls. Boise State (9-0) remained at fourth in the BCS, turning in a 42-7 win over Hawaii on Saturday. LSU is now the highest 1-loss team in the rankings at #5, after the Tigers’ victory over Alabama over the weekend. Stanford jumped seven spots to sixth after a 42-17 win over Arizona on Saturday. Wisconsin, Nebraska, Ohio State, and Oklahoma State round out the BCS Top 10. Alabama fell from sixth to 12th after its loss, while Utah dropped from fifth to 14th. Florida, Kansas State, and Texas A&M all moved into this week’s BCS Top 25. The final BCS standings will be released December 5th, and will determine which teams play for college football’s national championship in Glendale, Arizona on January 10th.
