Voting for more than Candidates
A number of interesting ballot initiatives will be decided at the polls today. One in Oklahoma could declare English the state’s “common and unifying language.” California voters will decide if marijuana should be legalized for recreational use.
In Colorado, there’s a proposed amendment to define a person in the state’s bill of rights from the beginning of “biological development,” which if passed, could be a precursor to trying to outlaw abortion in the state. Residents of Denver will also be casting ballots on an initiative to study UFOs and creatures from outer space.
