Rain, thunder and even hail moved into the Las Vegas Valley late last night.
The National Weather Service says the west and south sides of the valley were the hardest hit, with up to two-tenths of an inch of rain falling in some areas. Other areas of Las Vegas saw little or no rain. Some of the stronger thunderstorms produced hail on the south end of the valley, ranging from the size of a pea to half an inch in diameter. And there could more wet weather ahead. A 70-percent chance of rain is forecast for Las Vegas today, decreasing on Thursday and becoming partly sunny by Friday.
