A British designer has created the world’s most expensive cell phone.
The U.K.’s “Orange” news is reporting that Stuart Hughes’ new diamond encrusted Apple iPhone Four is available for slightly less than eight-million-dollars. The blinged out cellular device is covered by more than 500 individual diamonds, totalling 100 carats. Users can also select between a single cut seven-point-four carat pink diamond or a rare eight carat single cut diamond to fit over the phone’s “Home” button. Hughes — who was commissioned by an anonymous Australian businessman to make the phones — says he’s proud of his work. He states, quote, “It was a fantastic challenge and I am really pleased with the end result – the phones look superb.”
