Republican Brian Sandoval continues to maintain a double-digit lead over Democrat Rory Reid in the race for governor.
The latest “Review-Journal/KLAS-TV” poll shows Sandoval with 52-percent among Nevada voters, compared to 37-percent for Reid. Sandoval, a former federal judge, has been at or above the 50-percent mark since he won the GOP primary against incumbent Governor Jim Gibbons in June. Political observers say a series of negative campaign ads by Reid have failed to improve his standing in the polls, with the general election just a few weeks away.
