Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre said that he might consider missing a game or two to rest his ailing elbow if it gets worse. The 41-year-old Favre has been bothered by tendinitis in the elbow and was in noticeable pain at times during the Vikings’ 29-20 loss to the Jets on Monday night in the Meadowlands. Favre said he needs rest, but understands the team is in a bit of a desperate situation at 1-3 heading into Sunday’s home game against the 1-3 Dallas Cowboys. If Favre decides to sit out a game or two, it would end his NFL record streak of consecutive starts, which currently stands at 290. The NFL also continues to investigate Favre on allegations he sent racy and inappropriate text messages to a female Jets employee when he played for the team back in 2008.
