Just two weeks after a mild heart attack, Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio plans to be in the coaching box on Saturday when the 24th ranked Spartans host #11 Wisconsin in their Big Ten opener. Dantonio was hospitalized following Michigan State’s thrilling overtime victory over Notre Dame back on September 18th. He underwent a cardiac catheterization procedure, in which a small, metallic stent is used to open a blocked blood vessel leading to the heart. After being released from the hospital last week, Dantonio visited the team on Friday before watching Saturday’s 45-7 home win over Northern Colorado. With the procedure complete, doctors expect Dantonio to make a full recovery. The undefeated Spartans are seeking their first 5-0 start since 1999.
