At least two NFL teams are making quarterback changes that have nothing to do with injury. The Carolina Panthers are replacing Matt Moore with rookie Jimmy Clausen for this Sunday’s game against Cincinnati. Moore completed just 40% of his passes and had six turnovers in the Panthers’ first two games, both losses. Meantime, the Buffalo Bills are benching Trent Edwards after two innefective outings and replacing him with Ryan Fitzpatrick for Sunday’s game against New England. Edwards led the Bills’ offense to just 17 total points in the first two games. Elsewhere, Oakland Raiders coach Tom Cable refuses to say if he will start Jason Campbell or Bruce Gradkowski on Sunday against Arizona. Gradkowski relieved Campbell for the second half last week, and led the Raiders to a victory over the Rams. One team that isn’t making a change is the Tennessee Titans. Titans coach Jeff Fisher says Vince Young is still the starter for “his week and beyond.” Young was benched in favor of Kerry Collins during last week’s game, a 19-11 Titans loss to Pittsburgh.
